Permitted use and your documents
Use the tools only with documents you own or have permission to process, and in accordance with applicable law. Do not use the service to infringe copyright, violate privacy, create fraudulent documents, or interfere with other users or the website. You retain your existing rights in your files. Selecting a file does not transfer ownership to the operator, and the service does not require rights to publish your documents.
What the tools do
- Merge, extract, reorder, rotate, and convert supported document content locally in your browser.
- Compression offers lossless structure optimization, smart image optimization, and image-based page compression. Smart image optimization retains text but may change image detail; image-based compression flattens pages and removes selectable text, links, form fields, and bookmarks. No setting guarantees a particular size reduction or acceptable quality for every document. Compare small text and diagrams before use.
- Text extraction reads existing selectable text. It does not perform OCR on scanned pages.
- Image exports rasterize pages and lose selectable text, form fields, and vector editing.
- Crop changes the visible page area only. Hidden content may remain recoverable. It is not a redaction or secure-deletion tool.
- Form flattening supports compatible AcroForm fields; XFA and other unsupported forms may not work.
- Text and watermark creation currently support Latin characters. Rendering depends on the source PDF and available font resources.
Editing and password protection
The visual editor adds text and graphical overlays; it does not directly rewrite existing PDF text. Highlights and white overlays are not secure redaction. Hand-drawn marks are not verified digital signatures. Password protection requires a password to open the generated PDF using AES-256 encryption. Password strength and safe storage remain your responsibility. The service cannot recover a forgotten password. Unlocking is not offered in this release.
Review changes carefully
Editing can invalidate digital signatures and can change or remove bookmarks, interactive forms, annotations, metadata, accessibility structure, links, and other PDF features. Output is not guaranteed to satisfy PDF/A, accessibility, court, tax, medical, archival, or other specialist requirements. A watermark or page number is not a legally verified signature or document certification. The app is not a secure redaction tool.
Availability and device limits
The tools are currently free to use without an account. Compatibility, performance, and available features may change. Large or complex files may exceed your browser's memory limits. Image export is limited to 100 pages per operation and 150 MB of image data; lower resolutions and smaller ranges can help. Password-protected, corrupted, or unsupported files may be rejected. The service does not promise uninterrupted availability, guaranteed recovery, or preservation of all source features.
No professional advice or guaranteed results
The service is provided as available, without a promise that every document will render or process correctly. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator disclaims implied warranties and responsibility for losses resulting from reliance on incorrect or incomplete output. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights. No particular country's law, court, arbitration clause, or waiver of statutory rights is imposed by this notice.
Independent service and open source
CANROAD PDF STUDIO is independently operated and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by iLovePDF. Third-party product names belong to their respective owners. The software libraries listed on the licenses page remain subject to their own licenses. These terms do not replace or restrict permissions granted by those licenses.

Conversion, OCR, and forms
Editable Word export reconstructs text and simple aligned tables. Complex layouts, columns, images, fonts, and spacing may be lost or changed. Appearance mode places rendered page images in a DOCX file; those pages are not editable text. OCR is best effort and can misread names, numbers, punctuation, and handwriting. Review every result against the original. Standard AcroForm text, checkboxes, and choice fields are supported. XFA forms and digital-signature fields are not supported. Keep your original files.
